• How can we support during COVID-19 pandemic?

The Charlotte LGBT Chamber of Commerce is committed to promoting and assisting our small business and non-profit members. The compilation of small businesses and non-profits below displays all members of the chamber. In solidarity during this uncertain time we have added and will continue to add LGBTQ owned businesses and community non-profits. We are truly in this together and hope this list will engage our community to support locally LGBTQ owned and operated businesses and organizations.

Please note that CLGBTCC members are noted along with LGBT Business Enterprises as well. We are proud of our members and continue to work diligently with them during this time through resources and marketing. Ally small businesses that are listed are solely members of CLGBTCC.

Due to mandated closures and orders, many children were left without transportation to get to their schools where lunches were still being served. HB1 partnered with local groups to set-up feeding sites throughout the City serving more than 400 meals per day. This program operates on funding from donors like you and is greatly needed during this time. The organization also feeds families effected by the restaurant and an bar closures daily. Announcing our new Twirl Assistance Program (TAP), and specifically the Immediate/Emergency Need Program (COVID-19).

These grants are intended for self-identified Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, or Queer (LGBTQ) residents 18 years and older in the Charlotte metropolitan area, who are impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and need financial assistance with groceries, medical, and/or transportation costs.

We’re looking for ways to continue to send love to our healthcare heroes who are helping fight the COVID-19 pandemic. We’ve made noise to celebrate them, now let’s send them a good meal. We will coordinate food delivery based on how much we raise. We will be sending the food to Atrium’s Medical Center located on 1000 Blythe Blvd in Charlotte, North Carolina. We have reached out to Atrium to let them know we’re coordinating this and have received information on how to safely deliver the food. We estimate that about $10-15 will cover the cost of one meal for one hero. We are coordinating with local restaurants, which also helps keep their doors open and their employees employed. We will tip the delivery person. We will keep going as long as the community continues to donate.
